GR86 & BRZ Suspension FAQs
Lowering springs from Swift, Eibach, or RS-R are the simplest way to reduce ride height and body roll while keeping the factory dampers, and they suit a street driven car well. Coilovers from MCS, KW, Ohlins, Moton/AST, Fortune Auto, or HKS give adjustable ride height and damping for owners who track the car or want to fine tune balance.
The factory chassis is already well balanced, so for many street-driven cars, a sway bar and alignment change can provide meaningful handling improvements without requiring an aggressive drop.
Usually yes. Lowering the chassis adds negative camber and changes toe. SPL or Verus Engineering lower camber arms restore the adjustment range needed for a usable alignment. Without adjustable arms you are limited to the factory range, which often shows up as uneven tire wear. Plan for an alignment immediately after any ride height change.
Every product page lists the model years, trims, and drivetrain configurations the part is built for, and every collection on this site is organized by platform. If your vehicle carries other modifications, or you are between model years or trims, send us your year, trim, and current setup before ordering and we will confirm fitment.
Orders are processed within one to five business days, excluding weekends, holidays, pre-orders, and backordered items. Orders over $199 ship free within the continental United States by ground service, excluding freight items. We also ship to Canada, Australia, and non-continental US destinations, where import duties and taxes are the customer's responsibility.
GR86 & BRZ Suspension, Coilovers, and Springs
Suspension is where the GR86 and BRZ reward spending more than anywhere else. The chassis is light and balanced from the factory, so damping, spring rate, and alignment changes produce results that a power upgrade on the same budget will not match. This collection covers lowering springs, coilovers, sway bars, bushings, and alignment hardware from Motion Control, SPL, Eibach, and others.
Lowering springs lower the center of gravity and reduce body roll while keeping the factory dampers, which suits street cars. Coilovers give separate control over ride height and damping and are the right choice for anyone running track days regularly. Sway bars change balance directly and are one of the cheapest handling adjustments available. Plan for alignment hardware in every case, since lowering the chassis changes camber and toe beyond the factory adjustment range.
