LAND CRUISER ENGINE
Land Cruiser Engine FAQs
Every 2024 and newer Land Cruiser uses the i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain, rated at 326 total system horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and there is no non-hybrid engine option. Toyota's 2024 launch materials describe it as a turbocharged 2.4L four cylinder engine paired with a 48 hp electric motor.
Toyota fits every grade with full-time four wheel drive, a two-speed transfer case, and center and rear locking differentials. The 2024 model year was offered as the 1958, Land Cruiser and limited-run First Edition grades, and the 2025 through 2027 model years are offered as the 1958 and Land Cruiser grades.
For the 2024 and newer Land Cruiser we carry cold air intakes from aFe (Momentum GT Pro DRY S), K&N (77 Series) and SXTH Element (CPLT Intake), along with the SXTH Element Turbo Inlet, Charge Pipe Kit and Front Mount Intercooler, and charge pipes from aFe and K&N. The SXTH Element catch can kit is also available.
Throttle controllers such as the SXTH Element TRC1 and the aFe Power Sprint Booster change how the throttle pedal responds rather than adding engine output. We do not publish power gain figures for these parts; any installation requirements are listed on each product page, and you can contact us with questions before ordering.
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a dealer cannot void an entire factory warranty simply because aftermarket parts are installed. A specific claim can still be denied if a modification is determined to have caused the failure, and ECU changes are detectable. Warranty decisions are made by Toyota and its dealers, not by LIMIT+1.
Yes. Tell us your vehicle, your goals, and what is already installed, and we will put together a parts list that works as a system instead of a pile of individual upgrades. Order matters as much as part selection, and sequencing a build correctly avoids buying the same part twice. Contact us before you order if you want a second opinion on a plan.
Toyota Land Cruiser Engine Parts and Performance Upgrades
This collection covers Land Cruiser engine parts including intakes, filters, catch cans, cooling components, and supporting hardware for the i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain and earlier engines.
On a vehicle built for remote travel, engine work should prioritize heat management and reliability over peak output. Cooling and fluid capacity matter most for a Land Cruiser running loaded, at altitude, or at sustained low speed where airflow through the radiator is limited. Intakes and filters improve airflow and are the most common first purchase, and a quality filter matters more than usual on a vehicle driven on dusty roads. An oil catch can is worth considering on a direct injected engine used for frequent short trips.
