GX550 Exhaust FAQs
For the Lexus GX 550 we carry cat-back exhaust systems from Milltek, MagnaFlow, REMARK and aFe, axle-back exhaust options from HKS and aFe, and the Revel Trail Hart exhaust system. If you want a more restrained note, start with the Milltek Resonated Cat-Back and the REMARK x BOLD Quiet Spec Catback. Sound levels vary by system, so read each product page or contact us before you choose.
The HKS Legamax Trail Master Axle-Back and the aFe Vulcan Series Axle-Back replace only the rear section of the system. Cat-back and axle-back systems leave the factory catalytic converters in place.
That depends on the system. For the Lexus GX 550, the Milltek Resonated Cat-Back and the REMARK x BOLD Quiet Spec Catback exhaust are the options to look at if you want a more restrained sound for long highway drives.
Axle-back systems, such as the HKS Legamax Trail Master and aFe Vulcan Series Axle-Back, change only the rear section of the exhaust. If you are unsure which system fits your preference, contact us and we can walk you through the options.
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a dealer cannot void an entire factory warranty simply because aftermarket parts are installed. A specific claim can still be denied if a modification is determined to have caused the failure, and ECU changes are detectable. Warranty decisions are made by Toyota and its dealers, not by LIMIT+1.
Every product page lists the model years, trims, and drivetrain configurations the part is built for, and every collection on this site is organized by platform. If your vehicle carries other modifications, or you are between model years or trims, send us your year, trim, and current setup before ordering and we will confirm fitment.
Lexus GX550 Exhaust Systems
This collection covers GX550 exhaust systems, catbacks, and components for the current platform.
Exhaust on the twin turbocharged GX550 is chosen primarily for sound and character. Forced induction does respond to reduced restriction more than a naturally aspirated engine would, though the gain is secondary to the note for most owners. The factory system is deliberately quiet in keeping with the Lexus brief, which is exactly why owners change it. Ground clearance is worth checking on any system for a vehicle used off pavement, since anything hanging lower than stock becomes a liability. Check fitment and clearance notes on each product page.
