Overview
Upgrade the clutch system with the HKS LA Clutch Kit, a complete single-disc clutch and lightweight flywheel assembly engineered to provide increased torque capacity while maintaining a comfortable, near-OEM clutch pedal feel. Designed for both street and performance driving, the LA Clutch provides reliable power transfer without the heavy pedal effort commonly associated with reinforced performance clutches.
The HKS LA Clutch is rated for up to 440 N·m (324 lb-ft) of engine torque and is designed around an expected output of approximately 420 PS (415 hp). This makes it suitable for higher-output applications, including vehicles equipped with an HKS GT2 supercharger or appropriately configured bolt-on turbo systems, provided the engine remains within the clutch's allowable torque range.
A 5.5 kg (12.1 lb) lightweight flywheel replaces the approximately 10 kg factory flywheel, reducing rotating mass for sharper engine response and improved acceleration characteristics. HKS specifically optimized the flywheel weight for the FA24 to improve response without creating an overly abrupt or difficult-to-manage low-RPM driving experience.
The clutch disc also incorporates a spring-type damper to absorb impact torque and help reduce drivetrain shock and transmission gear noise. HKS additionally utilizes a strap-drive mechanism in the clutch cover for positive disengagement and quiet operation when the clutch is disengaged.
