The GReddy Water-Cooled Oil Cooler Upgrade Kit enhances the factory heat exchanger found on the GR86/BRZ. Instead of replacing the OEM heat exchanger with a conventional air-to-oil setup, GReddy's system adds a dedicated auxiliary cooler to the factory coolant circuit, allowing the coolant entering the OEM exchanger to be cooled more effectively. This improves the overall heat-exchange capability of the factory system and helps maintain more stable engine oil temperatures during spirited driving.
Designed primarily for spirited street driving, back-road use, and occasional track use, the GReddy kit was developed with repeated circuit testing while retaining the factory oil-cooling architecture. The lightweight aluminum cooler core is mounted in front of the radiator, with its position designed to minimize interference with the factory radiator and A/C condenser.
The kit installs between the factory coolant lines and includes approximately 2,000mm of coolant-compatible rubber hose, a dedicated mounting bracket, and the required installation hardware. The system can also be removed and returned to the factory configuration if desired. Approximately 1L of additional coolant is required for installation.
